The Mediterranean Institute of Biodiversity and marine and continental Ecology (IMBE) invites you to take part to the first Metals, Nanoparticles and Organisms Day on April, the 1st 2016.
This day aims to share knowledges on biological and physicochemical interactions of two types of contaminants with environment:
Metals, massively introduced into the environment for the middle of the 20th century, their toxicity mechanisms on ecosystems and biological communities are a key issues for the management and conservation of natural environments.
Nanoparticles, which are exponentially studied and used for their unique physicochemical properties for the last ten years, but the understanding of their behavior in situ, their impacts and repercussions on terrestrial and aquatic environments is a major challenge regarding their growing production.
Ten conferences, a poster session and a meeting will be organized to share, to better understand and to debate on the potential risks, benefits and future of their uses.
